STEMinistas uses team-based design challenges to engage middle school girls in exploring STEM topics from microbiology to computer science to mechanical engineering. Teams working on a challenge over several weekly sessions using the engineering design process design prototypes, build models, and propose solutions. Teams present their final solutions, and the process they used to find that solution, including budgets, material costs, test outcomes and revisions.
